An Email from Olive Young: Where It All Began One Summer Ago
We will never forget that first contact from Olive Young’s Omni-Service Team back in August of last year. It was a moment that brought a wave of positive tension and a strong conviction all at once, whispering to us: "Finally, the market is calling for our solution."
Fueled by that excitement, we found ourselves in a meeting room at Olive Young's Yongsan headquarters just the following week, presenting becon’s AI skin and scalp analysis solution. I still vividly remember the subtle silence that filled the room right after the demonstration.
Looking at data and interfaces that were worlds apart from the traditional microscopes typically seen in stores, the team members couldn’t take their eyes off the screen for a while. Hearing them marvel, "This is genuinely on another level," gave us a thrilling rush of validation—proving that the technology becon had stubbornly perfected was finally being recognized.
That passionate demo, however, was just the beginning. What followed was a long period of rigorous testing and refinement, including intense alignment meetings with on-site consultants and even live demonstrations across the Pacific in the US.

With the momentous US launch just ahead, becon's CEO, Minseok Park, personally visited the Pasadena store in California. The store was buzzing with electric energy as the team arrived amidst busy opening preparations.
What shone brightest on-site was, without a doubt, becon’s exceptional technology and ease of use. In a global retail environment, complex installations and setups can easily hinder tech adoption. However, becon's solution was entirely different.

The true value of the becon scanner was proven 100% during the on-site setup. Without any complicated wiring or tedious software installations, the entire setup was flawlessly completed using just the 'becon pro' application and a simple Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection! The local staff couldn’t help but marvel at becon’s incredibly intuitive and seamless integration process.

Even after the setup was done, the testing didn't stop. CEO Minseok Park, alongside the local staff, meticulously checked every detail—from the brightness of the store lighting and the exact angle of the scanner against the skin, to the responsiveness of the 'becon pro' app. We fine-tuned every minor detail so that local US customers can freely and intuitively enjoy the self-scanning experience throughout the store without needing staff assistance.
